BRO/BRU After Discharge Date?????

I am due to be discharged from bankruptcy on 12/2/10 and the OR has informed me that he will be applying to the Court for a BRO unless I offer a BRU for 10 years.

He has given me until 16/2/10 to reply, but am I right in thinking that the application to the Court has to be before the discharge date?
If so does this mean he cannot place these restrictions on me if I do not inform him of my decision before my discharge date.

I am so confused, I really don't know which way to turn or what to do!!!!!

the thing is the hearing date is not the important one, it is the application date, this has to be 8 weeks before discharge, and the acutaly hearing can be after.
