Hi,
as a discharged bankrupt is it still possible to work within the financial services sector?
I feel i may well know the answer already, but need to have it verified by someone with more knowledge of bankruptcy.
A job offer has come up in Dubai working for a multinational company as a financial investments consultant.... should i take it any further or will i be dropped like a stone at the final hurdle due to being a discharged bankrupt... :?:

But not all jobs in the financial sector will have this limitation. Do not stop applying for jobs - but not in Dubai!!

Hhhhmmmmm

I had something similar a couple of years back.

I applied for a job as a corporate IT Security Manager for Co-operative Group. Got the job then had to go through the final couple of formalities, including Credit Reference check.

Low and behold, I was rejected without explanation after the Credit Check

This was despite holding mid-level HMG Security Clearence, doing a HMG I.T. Security job at that time and having been Discharged from BR for about 3 years.

Utter madness and 'Jobs Worthiness' of the worst kind
