Charging Orders on a property should show up on the Land Registry I would imagine. There may be other ways to find out also, and I'm sure other forum members will be able to offer good advice.

Weekends can be quiet on here but you should receive other replies over the next few days.

If the reason he has not been able to deal with these issues are due to a rapidly deteriorating mental health capacity, then seek advice from the specialist teams at Shelter. It could well be that all the COs can be reversed, especially if he was not capable of understanding them.

Depending on how much eqity there is in the property, even by selling it it may not cover all the debts and resultant charges/interest.

To find out what CO's there are on the property, and you can do this on-line as well.
